According to the School Development Strategy for 2020 – 2025, with a vision to 2030: Tran Nhan Tong High School was founded in 1960. Its predecessors were Trung Vuong 3B School, Quynh Mai Upper Secondary School and Bach Mai High School; in 1997 the school took its present name, Tran Nhan Tong High School.

In recent years, Tran Nhan Tong High School has continuously invested and innovated to raise the quality of education. Modern facilities and teaching equipment have been prioritised; classrooms, subject rooms and the library have been upgraded to meet the demands of teaching in the era of digital transformation.
In the 2025 – 2026 school year, the school has 44 classes with 2,109 students and was honoured to be recognised as a National Standard school for the second time, an important milestone in its development.
Quality of education – Stable results over many years.
The school’s quality of education is clearly reflected in outstanding teaching and learning achievements. Its teachers have won many high prizes in city-level and cluster-level excellent teacher competitions, including First, Second, Third and Consolation prizes across many subjects, and a teacher has received the “Dedicated and Creative Teacher” award.
On the students’ side, for many consecutive years more than 95% of students have achieved good or excellent academic standing and 100% have passed the upper secondary graduation examination. Tran Nhan Tong High School has also remained among Hanoi’s top 5 schools for graduation exam results for 10 years running.

Students have also achieved many proud results in excellent student competitions. In total the school has won 7 national excellent student prizes and 917 city-level excellent student prizes in many fields. The rate of students admitted to universities and colleges has consistently been 95% or higher, showing the school’s stable and sustainable quality of training over many years.

Alongside academics, the arts, sports and mass-organisation movements at Tran Nhan Tong High School have developed strongly. The school has repeatedly won high prizes in competitions such as “Giai điệu tuổi hồng” (Melodies of Youth), the Phu Dong Sports Festival and many other youth movement activities. Organisations such as the Party Cell, the Trade Union and the Youth Union always play a core role in emulation movements, contributing to a positive and dynamic school environment.
Beyond studies, the school also enables students to develop comprehensively through a rich system of clubs such as The TNT, Z.I.Z Crew, Venus Club, Humans of Tran Nhan Tong, TNT Music Reborn, TNT Acoustic, TNT Basketball Club, TNT Football Club, TNT English Department, ESMÉE and more.
In addition, many distinctive school events are held every year, such as We Go 16, We Go 18, King & Queen and Bounce Beat. They have become a hallmark of Tran Nhan Tong students and create a dynamic, creative learning environment rich in experiences.

The efforts of generations of teachers and students have been recognised by the Party, the State and authorities at all levels with many noble awards. The school has been honoured with the Third-class Labour Order (2004 – 2005) and the Second-class Labour Order (2020 – 2021), together with many Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training and the Hanoi People’s Committee.
In 2025, the school received the “Happy School” title from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training and the Emulation Flag from the Hanoi People’s Committee for excellent fulfilment of its tasks.
Admissions – Learning opportunities for a new generation of students.
For the 2026 – 2027 school year, Tran Nhan Tong High School expects to admit 720 students, equivalent to 16 classes, two more than for cohort K62. Expanding enrolment not only creates more learning opportunities for students but also affirms the school’s steady development in education, meeting the ever-growing learning needs of students and parents.
The school always welcomes Grade 9 students who wish to study and grow under the Tran Nhan Tong roof. Here they will learn in a positive educational environment, accompanied and supported by teachers as they build knowledge and skills and find their future direction.
